Most alarm systems today are monitored using the telephone line coming into your home. If that line is compromised or cut, the signal can't get through to the monitoring center. In the event that your telephone service from your alarm control panel is interrupted, your alarm system automatically reverts to using the backup wireless system to communicate to our central station.
